Shetland's unique textiles heritage showcased
Our four day tours of these dramatic isles of the North travel the length and breadth of Shetland, looking at the textiles we make by hand and machine in studios and factories. We visit museums and heritage centres, and through every tour runs the common thread of the people who live and work here.
Our tours are unique. Although there are a number of tour operators in Shetland and others visiting from outwith the isles, in the four days we cover anything from four hundred to six hundred miles, and, because we only take a maximum of eight people on each tour, we have the flexibility to allow us to visit places that others cannot. We take our time to explore, and we discover what makes Shetland so special.
And, as with any journey of discovery, learning more about our friends on the tours and about ourselves is part of the joy of travel. We have many friends from across the world who have been on our textile tours, and many more to meet.
