Different tours for different seasons

May, June, July, August or September, each tour is different.

At the start of the season the Spring flowers are out and, of course, we have lambs running around the fields and hills. At the end of summer, the hills are covered in heather and the birds hunt amongst the grasses for seeds. Every tour has its own unique flavour; people from all across the world join us linked together by a love of exploration and textiles.

What's included

We will pick you up from the airport or ferry and take you to your accommodation, and drop you back at the end of your stay for your onward journey.

All meals are included in the tour, from our evening get-together on Tuesday night until breakfast on Sunday morning. In between we have time for fish and chips, restaurant meals, picnics and a meal at the studio in Yell.

We include tea breaks with some of Shetland's famous "homebakes",  a drink or two with dinner, and refreshments in the minibus as we go along.

Of course, accommodation for five nights is included as are entry fees and transport for the four days.

Flexibility

Our tours are small, and we like to make people happy. If there is something you want to see, please ask and we will see what we can do. Some of the requests over the years have now become part of the tour; we can always learn from our guests too!

We cannot guarantee the weather but we can show you the textiles of the islands, some incredible scenery, and some fascinating people.
